Public consultation dates
These guidelines were open for initial public comment from the period of 1 May to 31 May 2012.
Comments on the draft were considered by the Working Party members for the first revision. However, these guidelines are going to be updated regularly and it is possible to submit comments on an ongoing basis for Working Party authors to review.
How submit comments
Step 1: Create a user account
Before you comment, we recommend you create a user account by completing the simple registration form. Once you complete the user registration form, you will automatically be logged in and directed back to this content page.
By having a user account on our website, your comments can be attributed to you and you also receive alerts updating you on any replies to your comments.
If you wish you can omit this step and choose to comment anonymously. However, this means that we won't be able to notify you and let you know what happened to your comment.
Step 2: Review the guideline content and comment via blue comment button
Browse and review the Lung cancer treatment guideline content.
Click the blue

If you would like to notify us of further/newly published evidence, please use the blue

General Information on how to comment
- If you have identified any gaps or errors in the content please suggest suitable text for inclusion.
- Statements regarding the inclusion/exclusion of issues should be clearly supported by scientific evidence.
Comments on language and teminology and other
- If you have comments on the language and terminology of the guidelines please provide suggested replacement text.
- The Working Party would appreciate suggestions for future research.
How we respond to comments and what we won't accept
How we respond to comments:
- All comments will be screened by the Manager, Clinical Guidelines Network Cancer Council Australia and any inappropriate comments may be removed. Minor changes (e.g. correcting a typographical error) may be made immediately.
- At the end of the consultation period all relevant comments will be reviewed by the Lung Cancer Working Party.
- Cancer Council Australia reserves the right to summarise and edit comments received during consultation, or not to publish them at all, where in reasonable opinion of Cancer Council Australia, the comments are voluminous, publication would be unlawful or publication would be otherwise inappropriate.
- Relevant comments and the Working Party’s response will be published on this wiki with the guidelines.
We are unable to accept:
- Comments that are not made using the Wiki ‘Make a comment’ function
- Confidential information or personal medical information about yourself or another person from which your or the other person’s identity could be ascertained.
How we respond to additional/new evidence suggestions
- All comments will be screened by our Project Officer who is responsible for literature searches and evidence updates. If the evidence meets the inclusion and exclusion criteria of the associated clinical question, a critical appraisal of the study publication will be forwarded to the authors for further review. Once you submitted new evidence, you will also be instructed how you can the status of your submission and find out what happened to your submission.
