About this chapter

The Bowel Cancer Screening chapter of the National Cancer Prevention Policy was developed in 2010 and 2011 by Cancer Council Australia's Bowel Cancer Screening Committee, a subcommittee of its principal Public Health Committee. It was externally reviewed in late 2010 by Professor Carlene Wilson, Chair in Cancer Prevention at Flinders University; and Dr Hooi Ee, head of Gastroenterology, Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital, Perth. The Screening page of the chapter was updated in July 2014 and externally reviewed at this time.

It is updated as significant new literature is published or changes in the policy environment occur.
