About this chapter
The Bowel Cancer Screening chapter of the National Cancer Prevention Policy was developed in 2010 and 2011 by Cancer Council Australia's Bowel Cancer Screening Committee, a subcommittee of its principal Public Health Committee.
The chapter was externally reviewed in late 2010 by Professor Carlene Wilson, Chair in Cancer Prevention at Flinders University; and Dr Hooi Ee, head of Gastroenterology, Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital, Perth.
It is updated as significant new literature is published or changes in the policy environment occur.
