Comments

524 cases of esophageal adenocarcinoma identified at Danish cancer registry in the period 1987–1992. A diagnosis of Barrett’s esophagus had been made in seven of these patients, corresponding to 1.3% of the total population of cancer cases during the period; of these, two were invited for endoscopic surveillance.
