Reason for decision

The study is an economic analysis of ablative therapy for non-dysplastic Barrett's mucosa. It is a hypothetical study involving cost modelling. They conclude that within the assumed parameters tested that ablation is cost effective over a surveillance only strategy in patients with non-dysplastic mucosa. The study does address the question about whether the ablation causes regression of Barrett's as this is already an assumption as part of the hypothesis of the study.
