Source population of patients - not stated, but I am assuming it is patients attending the University Hospital of Nottingham.
Measurement of condition - biopsy with lab procedure described.
Follow up - 5 patients (<5%) died during the follow up period. No other mention of drop outs etc.
Mean follow up time of 54 months.
12 patients developed dysplasia, of which, 3 developed intramucosal carcinoma (mean follow up time of 18 months after developing dysplasia).
1 additional patient developed adenocarcinoma, without first developing dysplasia.
