Reason for decision

Little is known about the supportive care needs of lung patients. The study aimed to compare the levels of lung cancer patient needs with those of other cancers. Lung cancer patients have a higher reported number of unmet psychological needs and physical and daily living unmet needs compared with other cancers. The study suggests that priority needs to be given to addressing the unmet needs of lung cancer patient but does not discuss the role of psychological support and interventions in stage IV inoperable NSCLC.
